PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION HAS WORLD HERITAGE THEME

November 30 marks the 20th anniversary of Blaenavon achieving World Heritage Status, and to celebrate, the Council’s 2020 photography competition will have a World Heritage theme.

The Town Council are extremely sad to announce the resignation of our greatly respected and long serving colleague Cllr Phyllis Roberts.Cllr Roberts BEM, who earlier this month celebrated her 96th birthday at the Arthur Jenkins Care Home, is reluctantly standing down because of health issues.

Three of Blaenavon’s main employers have made generous donations of almost £2,500 to ensure local residents in need had emergency food parcels over the Easter weekend.
