Running and swimming - founder member of Blaenavon Leisure and Swimming Trust (BLAST) and member of Blaenafon Joggers; Keep Wales Tidy litter champion; former volunteer with Newport and Gwent Samaritans; birdwatching - former editor of Gwent Ornithological Society newsletter; photography; music and films – once interviewed Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Achievements:
Representing Wales at cross-country, road running and in the 1994 Mountain Running World Cup; getting elected to Blaenavon Town Council.
