COMMUNITY CALLS
We have launched a new Community Calls service. Residents who feel lonely, isolated or in need of someone to talk to can register for a call once a week, from one of our Town Councillors or Officers. The project was created in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic but will continue as part of the Healthy Blaenavon project going forward. Register by messaging us on Facebook, emailing our Healthy Blaenavon Officer on rebecca.smith@blaenavontowncouncil.co.uk or calling or texting her on 07847253617

STREET AMBASSADORS
As part of the Town Council’s efforts to make sure Blaenavon people feel safe and connected during the Coronavirus pandemic, we now have a team of Street Ambassadors and telephone ‘friends’ to support you. The work is being managed by the Integrated Well Being Network and Healthy Blaenavon project, who are coordinating all the offers of help received from the community.
There are 11 ambassadors, a mixture of councillors, staff and residents, who have been busy this past month putting slips with their contact details through letterboxes across the town.
Get in touch with our Healthy Blaenavon Officer if you have been affected by Covid 19 and need support by emailing rebecca.smith@blaenavontowncouncil.co.uk or calling or texting Rebecca on 07847 253617
