COUNCILLOR VACANCY

Are you someone who’s passionate about Blaenavon?

 

The Town Council has made award-winning progress since it was formed in May 2022. We’re proud of our success, and we’re looking for a new member who’ll work equally as hard in returning our residents’ investment.

 

The Council will be co-opting 1 new member and is inviting applications from interested candidates to fill the vacancy.

 

We’re looking for someone with a sound knowledge and understanding of local affairs and the local community. They should also be a good team player who is forward thinking and wants to help the Council to continue to make good progress with our plans.

 

The Council’s current composition includes people from backgrounds such as teaching, NHS management, law, public administration, business development, catering and hospitality, heavy industry and shopkeeping/trading.

 

We have a diverse range of occupations and former professions and we’re hoping for someone who can bring a new skill, expertise or key local knowledge such as experience of working with voluntary and or local interest groups.
