If you are enthusiastic about our stunning landscape then why not join our group to help protect it and inspire others about its features? You’ll meet like-minded people and make a real difference to this internationally recognised area.

The members of the group undertake a variety of tasks relating to the practical conservation and management of both the natural and historical features of the landscape.

Examples of regular activities include:

Habitat management tasks, such as tree planting or removal of unwanted vegetation on the heather moorland around Blaenavon.

Wildlife monitoring, including surveying for red grouse, which are on the edge of their UK range in the area.

Maintenance of footpaths and countryside furniture such as stiles and sign-posts. Leading guided walks.

Monitoring and maintaining archaeological sites.
