Formerly Director of Sales & Business Development with Lucas Girling & TRW Automotive and worked in Brazil, India, Asia Pacific and South Africa.
Member for Torfaen County Borough Council and lead on the World Heritage Board. A Governor at Blaenavon Heritage VC School and Life Member and Trustee of Blaenavon RFC and Life Member of the Royal British Legion; also Chair of the Blaenavon Civic Society. The Blaenavon Town Council Intergenerational Project, on which he is lead councillor, in conjunction with Blaenavon Big Pit, Workmen’s Hall and Blaenavon Museum, has become a huge ongoing success for the community and beyond.
In second term as Torfaen County Borough Councillor; in 2017, he was appointed the Cabinet's Executive Member for Business, Tourism, Leisure & Culture. Helped get a statue of Blaenavon sporting legend – and his cousin - Ken Jones erected in the town centre. Has also worked hard to get facilities for local youngsters such as securing Lottery funding to enable the Hwb youth club to be opened five nights a week.
